For those of you that use the Other Apps feature of Enhanced SMS & Caller ID and run Android 4.3+, this release is for you! We have fixed multiple issues that users have reported to us. For instance, it was reported that selecting and then de-selecting apps from the list of installed apps didn't always result in the notifications for those apps. Some of you even noticed a "force close" while enabling this feature. This should now be resolved. Obviously, if you notice any other problems, do let us know! We can only address issues that we are made aware of.

Another issue we resolved was with our new Hangouts / Gtalk internal client. We noticed that sometimes the client would stop notifying us of new messages until we toggled the feature off and on. We tracked down the issue and resolved it. You should now, assuming you are connected to the internet!, have consistent notifications from Hangouts / Gtalk. In addition to fixing our app, we discovered some Gmail configuration settings that could also improve the Hangouts / Gtalk experience. We posted our findings in our FAQ. This should hopefully help those that use and rely upon this feature.

Aside from squashing bugs in the app, we also added a couple of new options. One option, for calls and SMS messaging, allows you to force the app to read the contacts surname first. The second new option added was an auto response option for SMS messages. When this option is enabled, and a SMS message is received, a response that you can configure, is automatically sent as a reply.

In closing, we would like to thank all of you for supporting us in the development of eCID. Given the sheer number of feature requests we have received, both over email and through the eCID testers community, we will continue to be hard at work delivering new features for you to use.
